Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Expected to Feature Versatile Camera May 28th 2013, 07:40 Samsung Electronics will equip the Galaxy Note 3, slated for release in the second half, with a versatile camera module featuring anti-shake technology and shutters. Samsung Electronics is set to pack the Galaxy Note 3 with a 13 megapixel, multi-function camera that can favorably compare with any other digital camera. Accordingly, competition for high resolution could transition into that for better performance. According to industry insiders, Samsung Electronics' mobile communications division is developing technologies to introduce OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and shutter functions to the Galaxy Note 3. Though the Galaxy Note 3 development team is also considering the introduction of 3x optical zoom, it would be difficult considering smartphones' slim body. An official from Samsung Electronics' mobile communications division said, "We are pondering various technologies at this stage – for example, OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and shutter functions.
