Theme of "dark" shades of black and the theme "bright" shades of white / cream to decorate the background of colors and determine color tones of the various components of the screen. But since Tizen 2.2 UI, dark themes become the default choice.
According to Samsung, dark themes become the target of choice for the upcoming Tizen devices using OLED type screen. Samsung reasoned dark themes on the OLED screen can extend the battery life. For OLED type screen, dark or black color means no activity to emit light, unlike LCD or TFT type screen.
Previously, Samsung also offers two systems themes on
bada smartphone .
