MegaFon and China Telecom signed an agreement on transit traffic through the high-speed line DREAM Oct 30th 2013, 19:00, by Maximus Not so long ago we wrote about the fact that the operator MegaFon launched commercial operation of a fiber optic backbone DREAM length of 8700 kilometers, but now the company has announced the signing of the first agreement on the transit traffic between Europe and Asia through this line. Partner of the Russian company has become the largest fixed-line operator in China - China Telecom. Company China Telecom was the first international service provider that will send traffic through the new highway MegaFon Asia-Europe route. The contract with the Chinese operator MegaFon ensure the transmission of information through secure communication channels DWDM-Frankfurt-on-Main to the border of Kazakhstan / China at a rate of 1 to 10 Gbit / s. Recall that line DREAM, organized by MegaFon, passes through Kazakhstan, Russia , Ukraine, Slovakia, Austria, Germany, and is potentially ready to pass traffic at speeds of up to 8 Tb / s.
