If you use an Android smartphone or tablet, Sony SmartWatch 2 is your ideal accessory. This next-generation smartwatch introduces new features as a successor to the current Sony SmartWatch with NFC connectivity for one-touch pairing, premium design and a range of technologies. Improvements include higher resolution for sharper viewing and better visibility even in sunlight, longer battery stamina, more intuitive interface, standalone watch functionality, water-resistance and a wide range of pre-installed and recommended apps for SmartWatch 2.

The best of Sony in a SmartWatch
Easily access notifications from your wrist such as messages, calls, email, Facebook™, Twitter™, Calendar, or use as a music remote for Walkman™ or other media player. When not connected to a phone, SmartWatch 2 functions as a standalone watch. You'll be able to read previously received notifications, access the time, use it as a stopwatch, and set an alarm. SmartWatch 2 can also be fitted with any standard 24mm wristband and new Sony watchstraps will soon be available for further personalisation.
New Sony Add-on SDK with support for SmartWatch 2 to come
For all app developers, we will soon release a new version of the Sony Add-on SDK, where we've added support for SmartWatch 2 with some new features. We will also publish a quick tutorial for how to add SmartWatch 2 support, if you already have a SmartWatch app. Stay tuned to Developer World for more information going forward!
