China market: Over 49 million smartphones sold in 3Q12, says Analysys Dec 3rd 2012, 18:39 There were 63.73 million handsets sold in the China market during the third quarter of 2012, decreasing 4.1% on quarter and 7.5% on year. Smartphones accounted for 49.17 million units, up 28.7% sequentially and 121% on year, according to China-based consulting company Analysys International.
